Past Projects

From the very conception of the Partnership Project, new ideas have taken place. Museums and Galleries Month has become part of the annual programme of both venues, while 'The Big Draw', a national event taking place in October, has also been initiated into the events programme of Pontypool Museum. Llantarnam Grange hopefully will be taking part in the near future.

As part of their Lifelong Learning programme, the museum and local authority initiated a reminiscence outreach project, called 'Down Memory Lane', visiting nursing homes and sheltered accommodation residents with artefacts from the museum stores, which gave huge enjoyment, with total engagement on the resident's part. A further programme of reminiscenceis planned for the future.
